I'm a professor and teach math at the community college level, instructing online and classroom courses. I previously served at Michigan State University as a graduate teacher's assistant, and I spent a year teaching math at the high school level. As a tutor, I like to help students work through learning difficulties by identifying where they need help. I ask questions to figure out what students know and what they need to know, and I get to work on filling those gaps. I explain to students why concepts and math are important and how they work, and I also show how these concepts are used in the real world.
